Federal Incentives

Federal Solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC)

Deduct 30% of the total cost of your solar energy system from your federal income taxes. Includes panels, inverters, racking, wiring, installation labor, and permitting.

Federal Battery Storage Tax Credit

Standalone battery storage systems of 3 kWh or larger qualify for the 30% federal tax credit, even without solar. Added by the Inflation Reduction Act.

Federal Clean Vehicle Tax Credit

Tax credit for purchasing a new qualifying electric vehicle. Amount depends on battery sourcing and manufacturing requirements.

Federal Heat Pump Tax Credit (25C)

Federal Energy Efficiency Home Improvement Credit (25C)

State Programs

FL Solar Property Tax Exemption

Florida exempts the full value of solar energy systems from property tax. Also exempt from sales tax on solar equipment.

FL Solar Sales Tax Exemption

Solar energy systems are exempt from Florida's 6% sales tax. On a $25,000 system, this saves approximately $1,500.
