Solar Monitoring Interpreter
Upload your solar production data and get an instant health check — capacity factor analysis, degradation detection, and performance diagnostics.
Your Inputs
Paste your data below or upload a CSV file. Format: Date, kWh (one row per day or reading).
If blank, we'll estimate from peak production.
Results
Paste or upload your solar production data and click "Analyze" to see results.
How This Works
We analyze your solar production CSV data to calculate key performance metrics and flag potential issues.
Metrics Calculated
- Capacity Factor: Actual production ÷ theoretical maximum (system size × 24 hours). Compared against regional averages.
- Consistency Score: Based on the coefficient of variation in daily production. Higher means more predictable output.
- Under-producing Days: Days where production fell below 50% of your average — may indicate shading, soiling, or equipment issues.
- Degradation Detection: If your data spans 6+ months, we compare first-half vs second-half production to flag declining output.
Data Format
Upload a CSV with at least two columns: a date and a kWh value. We auto-detect common delimiters (comma, tab, semicolon, pipe) and skip header rows. Supported date formats include ISO (YYYY-MM-DD), US (MM/DD/YYYY), and most common formats.
Limitations
This tool provides screening-level analysis. For detailed diagnostics, consult your installer or use your inverter manufacturer's monitoring platform. Weather normalization and panel-level analysis are beyond the scope of this tool.
