The Outage Readiness Score is a weighted composite based on backup power sources (battery, solar+island, generator), fuel diversity (gas appliances work without electricity), and vulnerabilities (well water, medical equipment).
Battery backup hours are calculated by dividing capacity by hourly consumption. The score caps at 100. A higher score indicates more resilience during extended power outages.
